Herbal Classes & Workshops
At Along the Garden Path, learning is hands-on, practical, and fun. Pamela’s classes are designed for anyone who wants to understand herbs better—whether you’ve never used them before or you’ve already dabbled with teas and tinctures.
In each workshop, you’ll:
Learn the basics of identifying local plants and herbs safely.
Discover the properties of common herbs and how they can be used to support everyday health.
Practice making herbal remedies such as tinctures, oils, teas, creams, and salves.
Gain confidence in using herbs at home for yourself and your family.
Workshops are small and welcoming, giving you plenty of opportunity to ask questions and practice new skills. By the end of each class, you’ll leave not only with something you’ve made but also with the knowledge to recreate it on your own.

Hands-On Learning
Herbal knowledge is best learned by doing. That’s why Pamela focuses on practical, hands-on sessions where you’ll prepare remedies step by step. You won’t just sit and listen—you’ll roll up your sleeves and create.
From blending herbs into a soothing bedtime tea, to infusing oils with calming lavender, to crafting a salve for dry skin, each activity is designed to teach both the “how” and the “why” of herbal preparation. You’ll also learn simple techniques to ensure your remedies are safe, effective, and tailored to your needs.
The goal is for you to walk away with skills you can use in your everyday life. Herbal learning is about more than recipes—it’s about building confidence, creativity, and a connection to the natural world.

Plant Identification
One of the most empowering parts of herbal learning is realizing how many useful plants are growing right around you. Pamela teaches guided plant walks and identification lessons that help you:
Recognize common herbs and plants in your local environment.
Understand which plants are safe to use and which to avoid.
Learn the traditional and modern uses of local herbs.
Develop a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
These lessons are about more than just memorizing names. They’re about slowing down, paying attention, and seeing the landscape in a new way. With each plant you recognize, you’ll feel more connected to the rhythms of nature and more capable of working with the gifts it offers.
